Contains many snapshots of everyday life in Paris.
“L’essence de Paris” is a photography book of natural and everyday scenes from Paris.
The author rides the subway, goes to far away and unknown train stations, and while walking around simply takes pictures of Paris. This was the pattern repeated for numerous days.
The concept of this photography book is that while staying in Paris, all sights were photographed.
One can see Paris in this collection of photos through the eyes of a tourist.
It also contains a short movie of the author, Yasuo Kiyonaga, talking about his feelings for Paris and his love of the French photographer Atget and French movies.
